Way back in the 1940s this was the first Kenyan beach hotel, so it had the pick of locations – and it's a real picture of paradise. The sun shines. The sea sparkles. Although there have been many mod cons added to the hotel, this doesn't detract from its original charm. All over the hotel you'll see plenty of the original features that make this place stand out from the crowd.
When it comes to relaxation, this place is pretty hard to beat. During your stay, you won't have to lift a finger – even if you want to. The friendly staff are quick to whisk your bags up to your room, before offering cool drinks and cold face towels. And while you're stretched out on a sun lounger, the friendly waiters are only too happy to deliver cocktails right to your sunbed.
To experience a bit of 1940s evening entertainment, there's no need for a time machine. The Mvita Grill's managed to capture the glitz and glamour of the era with its decor and music. Here, you can immerse yourself in sultry jazz music as you feast on fresh fish and lobster. After dinner, you can stay in the past with a trip to the Victorian-themed Harry's Bar. Or you can simply sit back and watch a true slice of Kenyan entertainment, with a traditional show of music, dancing and acrobatics.

Stayed here for a few nights while on a safari holiday. The hotel was lovely, set in very nice gardens with a good pool area. Great for relaxing & reading a good book.Be careful not to leave anything on you balcony or the Monkeys will take it. If... more on this review
