And you can continue to live it up at the restaurant as well. Not only is there a well-stocked buffet but you can also dine at one of the seven themed restaurants. There's an Italian, a seafood, an Asian restaurant, Mexican cuisine and a seaside grill. And it's worth pointing out that wine is served with both lunch and dinner. Normal meals aside, the Dreams La Romana also treats you to things like afternoon tea and midnight snacks.

Ready to burn off some of those calories? You can take your pick from activities like beach volleyball and windsurfing. Plus there's a very special spa here too. There are loads of different treatments to choose from as well as a scotch shower, sauna and steam room. But the real show stealer is the jungle massage. Wind your way through Dreams La Romana's eco-walk passing ponds filled with turtles and fish, to a wooden cabin over the water. Whether it's a couples massage or just a treat for yourself, this is an experience not to be missed.

As to your accommodation, the bedrooms are light and airy and decked out in attractive Caribbean colours. Most come with two double beds as well as mini-fridges that are filled with soft drinks. Plus, you've got air-conditioning for a cool night's sleep.

Our holiday at Case Del Mar was wonderful we spent 2 weeks in glorious sunshine. The hotel has everything to offer and nothing too much trouble. The only comment I would make is avoid block 4 as it is very close to the entertainment and extremely noisy... more on this review
