• The Hotel
  Sensatori Mexico is being brought to you by Azul, one of the biggest names in Mexico, so you know you're in for something special. Decor-wise it's got that chic designer feel. Contemporary suites dressed in cream, turquoise and chocolate come as standard, and they all feature hi-tech gadgets like flatscreen TVs, DVD players and iPod stations. They've even got their own hot tubs. Factor in glossy infinity pools that spill onto the beach and bars and restaurants worthy of a London address and you can see it's ideal for discerning couples and style-conscious families. Because that's another thing about Sensatori Mexico - it's got all-round appeal. It's been divided up into sections with rooms and pools devoted exclusively to adults or families. There's even a Premium section that comes with champagne, flowers and outrageously indulgent touches like a pillow selection service.
  
  
  
  The Location
  Location is everything at a Sensatori hotel. And the one in Mexico is no exception. Tucked between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen, it's bagged a plum position on the Riviera Maya. It's on Bahia Petempich, a beach that's got classic Caribbean good looks. Think soft white sands lapped by luminous turquoise waters.
  
  The Pools
  Holidays tend to revolve around the swimming pool. That's why water plays a leading role at Sensatori Mexico. But standard turquoise slabs don't make the grade. Pools come in all shapes and sizes, snaking their way around the entire resort. And there's a choice of pools, too. One is adults-only, another is spot on for activities. Plus there's a separate one for children. Whichever one you go for, spacious sun terraces come as standard, complete with cushion-plumped sunloungers and linen parasols. Rounding it all off are whirlpools, waterfalls and fountains.
  
  The Dining
  Gourmet Inclusive. It's probably not a board arrangement you're familiar with. But it's the feather in Sensatori Mexico's cap. The best way to describe it is 'designer All Inclusive'. All of your meals and drinks are included, but we're talking seriously chic dining. Dishes are prepared by renowned chefs. Restaurants exude designer cool. And there are special extras like 24-hour room service. More than a board basis, it's an ethos. You can eat where you want, when you want. Here's just a taster of what's in store…
  
  
• Le Chique Magenta, black and silver provide the colour scheme for this adults-only restaurant that looks like a Parisian boudoir. Think haute cuisine that's been coifed to perfection, a New York-style cocktail menu and Buddha Bar tunes.
  
• Spoon Wood and crystal walls and earthy tones conspire to create a sleek, Scandinavian-like space. And the open kitchen, relaxed dress code and chart classics set the tone to casual.
  
• Tapaz With a constellation's worth of lanterns dangling from the ceiling, this eatery has a touch of old Moorish Spain about it. Dig into little plates of tapas to the strains of gypsy guitar.
  
• Zavaz The lilt of calypso. A view of the sea. And a jerk-flavoured menu. This Caribbean-inspired restaurant comes complete with whispering palms and a tropical aquarium.
  
• Zocalo Tucked among oversized terracotta flowerpots is this Mexican cantina. Fill up tacos, roll fajitas and crunch tortilla chips as you look out across the ocean.
  
• Sienna Food like mama used to make is on the menu at this Tuscan-flavoured trattoria. A great wine list and frescoes add the finishing touches.
  
  The Experience
  At Sensatori Mexico you can join in as much or as little as you like. Learn to scuba dive in the morning. Join a game of volleyball after lunch. Then head to the spa for an early evening massage. Or you could just spend the day by the pool.
  
  
• Relaxation Thai massage. Herbal Steam. Hydrotherapy. The spa* at Sensatori Mexico is in a league of its own, a world class space where you can seriously relax. For the ultimate in luxury, book the VIP whirlpool suite that's for couples only. Children don't miss out either, with their very own pampering treatments.
  
  
• Sports and Activities As well as favourites like volleyball, tennis and football, you can take to the water for kayaking, boogie boarding, scuba diving and snorkelling. There's a gym that stays open round the clock, plus yoga sessions to help get your equilibrium back on track.
  
  
• Play Sensatori Mexico is perfect for discerning families. Special mention has to go to the children's facilities. They've got the 21st-century touch. Think Nintendo Wiis, Playstations and X-boxes, plus plasma TVs and internet stations. Run by Azul, the children's club has got everything from a walk-in doll's house to a sprayground. Teens, meanwhile, get a rock-climbing wall, plus their very own hangout. By day they can watch films and play computer games there. Come night time, it morphs into a nightclub with mocktails, music and chill-out sofas. And all this comes with a side-order of ice-cream, milkshakes and popcorn.

  The Entertainment
  When it comes to entertainment, there's no denying which part of the world you're in. Tinkling steel drums provide the soundtrack to the dining experience. Live music revolves around hypnotic reggae beats and catchy calypso rhythms. And four lounges serve tropical fruit cocktails. Special mention has to go to the Mojito Lounge. With 31 different types of mojito on the list, this is THE place to wind down come the cocktail hour. Chill-out music, trailing ferns and trendy wicker bar stools provide the supporting cast. Another great venue is the Roof Garden Lounge. This place does exactly what it says on the tin. Add a killer cocktail menu, cushioned divans and views out to sea and you've got the ideal spot for a sundowner.
  
  
  
  The Bedrooms
  They're all over-sized suites. They all come with hot tubs. And they all gaze out over gardens, pools or sea. But some rooms deserve a special mention. There are swim-up suites where you can step straight into a lazy river from your room – some even have hot tubs in the lazy river itself. Then there are family suites that come with sliding partitions and two plasma TVs so you can leave the children to watch their cartoons. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. There are all sorts of variations so you can choose a room that really suits you…
  
  Adults Exclusive Junior Suite Set in the adults-only section, this air-conditioned suite has been designed for two. It comes with a king-size bed, a bathroom with a rainforest shower and a hydrojet whirlpool bath. Plus there's an over-sized balcony or terrace with a view of the gardens, pool or sea. Mod cons include a 32' plasma TV, a DVD player and an iPod docking station. Plus some of them are swim-up suites that open out on to a lazy river.
  
  All of the following suites feature exactly the same facilities as the one above plus some added extras…
  
  Junior Suite with room for 2 adults and 2 children or 3 adults and 1 child These larger suites feature an extra king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds. This time the view from the balcony or terrace is of the gardens or the pool. If you prefer though, you can book one that comes with soul-stirring sea views. When it's just adults sharing, they're available as swim-up suites, too. Choose one of these and you'll be footsteps away from a refreshing dip.
  
  Family Junior Suite These come with a queen-size bed as well as double and single sofa beds. Plus there's a sliding partition and two plasma TVs to keep the whole family happy. Each one has room for 2 adults and 3 children or 3 adults and 1 child and you'll find them in the dedicated family section. You can book one with a sea view, too.
  
  Premium Junior Suite If you're looking to up the ante, choose a suite in the Premium section. They come with all the facilities of the Junior Suite plus nice little extras like champagne, fruit and flowers waiting when you arrive. There's a special concierge service, too, not to mention indulgent touches like aromatherapy and pillow menus. Each one can hold 2 adults and 2 children or 3 adults and 1 child, and comes with a balcony or terrace overlooking pool or sea. They're also available as swim-up suites when it's just adults sharing. These come with a private heated whirlpool that's connected to the lazy river outside. It's the ultimate indulgence.
