Pension Gradina

As Loviste's little bay curves around to the left, pine trees shade small landing stages and sunbathing platforms from where the clear sea glints up at waiting swimmers. Here on the edge of the village stands the small Pension Gradina, a handful of rooms and apartments run by Robert and his young family. We have selected the 'White' apartments for our guests. Their top-floor location, accessed by a pair of external staircases, ensures that the views from the front balcony over the bay and beyond to Hvar are unimpeded. The spacious main living area under a sloping ceiling has a sofa bed in addition to a well-equipped kitchen area. The front balcony faces north and provides a great deal of shade, whilst the sun can be soaked up on the west-facing side balcony or on the communal sun terrace below.

The friendly owner, Robert, is a caring host who speaks some English and also runs a restaurant for his guests on the ground floor of the apartments with tables set out right on the water's edge. He will bring out the freshest fish he has caught that day, possibly lightly tossed in the oil pressed from his olive trees and washed down with a carafe (or two) of his own full-bodied red wine. There is a small choice of restaurants, bars and cafes arranged around the bay, but with such an idyllic way to round off the day right on your doorstep, we feel that you will return to this delightful spot evening after evening.
