Other attractions include the botanical gardens at Trsteno, the vineyards in the Zupa Valley and the oyster beds at Ston. You could walk along the coast to Srebrena village. And Cavtat is just down the road for a feast of restaurants, bags of gift shops and a bustling atmosphere. Back in Mlini, 'bustle' doesn't feature on the menu. Olive groves and orange orchards snooze to a cicada soundtrack. The old watermill basks by its timeless team-mate stream. Old stone houses cluster round the sleepy harbour. And unpretentious eateries serve seafood specialities. Life in the slow lane at its best.
