With mostly rocky and pebbly beaches, Ravni's not the place for those who like long stretches of golden sand. But the swimming's good, and the views out to sea and surrounding scenery more than compensate. As does the tranquil, relaxed atmosphere. And if you fancy a bit more of a buzz, you're just a few miles from Rabac - one of Istria's largest and liveliest resorts - with a wide selection of bars, eateries and clubs. Of course, that's not to say there's nothing to do in Ravni. If you're into outdoor pursuits you'll be in your element. Cycling, windsurfing, mountaineering, diving, swimming and tennis all on tap. As for sightseeing, there are plenty of interesting places to visit in the area, including the medieval hill town of Labin, a vibrant hotbed of art and culture, and the impressive 13th century fortress at Krsan. With all that fresh air and sightseeing you're sure to work up a healthy appetite. No problem there either. Ravni's restaurants will come to the rescue. What's more, you'll find a heavy Italian influence on the menu. So, as well as spicy Balkan-style stews, there are plenty of hearty pasta dishes to fill you up. Try some fuzi or njoki with meat sauce, or krafi, Croatia's answer to ravioli.
