These gorgeous villas have got plenty to tempt you. First of all, they've grabbed a prime spot on a sunny, south-facing hillside gazing out on the breathtaking Gulf of Valinco. So when you wake up in the morning and throw open the doors, a turquoise sea shimmers seductively back at you. Well, that and rolling green hills and a scattering of bright bougainvillea.

Your surroundings couldn't be any prettier if they tried. Each villa is split into two separate apartments, so if you've been charged with the tricky task of finding a holiday base for a big group then you've struck gold with these. Combined, these villas can sleep 14 people comfortably - ideal if you're holidaying with another family but still want your privacy.

You'll find the beach just a five minute drive away so you're ideally placed if you're planning to spend most of your holiday horizontal on the sands. Or you might prefer to top up your tan closer to home, in which case flit from sunbed to pool as you soak up those spectacular sea views.

In terms of the villas themselves, they're identical, each having a pool that is shared between the upstairs and downstairs apartment within the villa. The three bedroom apartment on the upper floor sleeps six and has got a roomy terrace. The ground floor apartment, meanwhile, is slightly larger, with four bedrooms that sleep eight people. This one's got a flower-speckled terrace. With the shared pool and the lovely little garden area you really are spoilt for choice when it comes to sunbathing.

Whichever one you choose, you can expect bright and airy interiors. And each apartment has got a fully-equipped kitchen with everything you might need for a self-catering break, including a washing machine, microwave, and that all-important gadget, a kettle!

If you don't fancy cooking then take the short drive to nearby Propriano, where you'll find plenty of good restaurants. Give the seafood a try – it's delicious. Just make sure you're back in time for sunset so you can stretch out on the terrace, glass of wine in hand and watch the sun sink into the glittering sea. This is the life.
