Stone House

Built using local Maniot stone, these houses are surrounded by some of the best walking and hiking in the whole of Greece. With views of mountains all around, you could be forgiven for thinking you are in the Swiss Alps. Take a walk up the hill to Kardamyli old town and you will soon realise you are definitely still in Greece.

All of the houses have terraces on two sides, the interiors are light and comfortable with high beamed ceilings and air-conditioning. With all the stunning countryside all around you, you probably will not need it, but there is satellite TV. All houses are open-plan with a double bed and shower, as well as a sofa bed suitable for a child. There is a living room with a fireplace should the temperature drop in the evening.

Venture farther afield and you will be greeted by two distinctly different areas. If your idea of a perfect holiday is to be sightseeing and exploring, The Mani is the perfect place. Dotted with ancient villages with Byzantine churches and tower houses, there are also long sweeping bays and huge cave systems just waiting to be visited.
