An introduction to The Palace

The Palace is one seriously chic hotel. It comes complete with stylish themed rooms, cool restaurants and a roof-top spa. And it fits in perfectly with its surroundings, too. Set in a nest of grand town houses and funky villas, it's got a prestigious address in the heart of Sliema.

Behind the curved facade, you'll find an elegant space that's fit for the A-list. Modern crescent-shaped chairs are dotted around the lobby beside marble pillars and beneath a grand chandelier. Move further inside and you'll come to the bedrooms. Ranging from standard right up to the Designer Suites, they all come with plasma TVs, fluffy bathrobes and pillow menus. But it's the Designer Suites that really impress – and the music-themed one in particular. Decorated in monochrome, it's like a scene straight out of the Sixties. A huge bed complete with a sound-proof headboard sits among iconic images of rock gods. Add finishing touches like instruments you can play, state-of-the-art sound systems and white leather seats and any artist and their muse would be happy here.

Rooms aside, The Palace's restaurants are also worth a mention. High up in the rafters on the ninth floor, there's the TemptAsian restaurant. Along with a menu that spans everything from Chinese to Indian, you'll get great city views and a funky Asian-style setting, too. You've also got two other eateries, The Tabloid and the Talk Of Town cafe, serving up Mediterranean dishes and snacks.

Last but by no means least, there's the spa that takes over the hotel's top floor. Complete with an indoor and an outdoor pool, plus a fitness room, it's a great place to unwind. And as you'd expect from a hotel of this calibre, it comes with an indulgent range of treatments and massages, too.
