Sitting in gorgeous green grounds, Casa Chica I and II are neighbouring villas on a private estate in Calahonda. And they're every inch the Spanish holiday dream. We're talking whitewashed villas with terracotta-topped roofs. Swishing palm trees. And to-die-for views over the twinkling Mediterranean.

Of course, the piece de resistance is that each one has its own private pool. Sunk into an emerald-green lawn, you can cool off with a refreshing swim here or stretch out on one of the sun beds. And even if you don't like too much sun, you can sit out at dusk and catch the sea breeze. It's also a lovely spot for al fresco dining. Simply fire up the barbeque, throw on some of the local steaks and pull up a chair on your covered terrace.

You'll be just as impressed by the inside. A charming mix of traditional and contemporary styles, you'll be right at home here – and have all the comforts of it, too. Whitewashed walls and authentic wooden furniture sit alongside sink-into sofas and modern furnishings. And as well as comfy bedrooms, there's a spacious open-plan living and dining area as well as a fully fitted kitchen.

If you can tear yourself away from here, there's plenty to see and do. Golf lovers have several courses on their doorstep, such as the Miraflores course. Beach lovers can head for anyone of the gorgeous sunburnt beaches along the coastline, including the secluded Puerto Cabopino. Or if you simply fancy a spot of shopping and a bite to eat, stroll into Calahonda where you'll find plenty of charming shops, bars and restaurants. These delightful villas are as good as it gets.
