An introduction to Casa Celia
Casa Celia is a wonderful country house set in a young olive grove only four kilometres from Frigiliana. With five bedrooms and two bathrooms, this is one of our largest Axarquia properties, ideal for larger families or a group of friends. Graceful arches, an open stone hearth, and chequered sienna and white ceramic floors create a characterful living-dining room full of light. Seasoned wood makes the rustic open plan kitchen as attractive as it is practical.
The accommodation is divided over two floors and outside there is a fabulous roof terrace with panoramic sea and mountain views. The lovely swimming pool is inviting for a cooling dip, while the patio is dotted with pots of pink geraniums and offers a pleasant dining spot for an indulgent lunch of freshly caught fish and a bottle of local muscatel.
In Frigiliana village there are splendid tapas bars and a variety of restaurants serving traditional Andalucian and more international fare. The winding cobbled streets are a delight, bubbling with history and village chatter and brimming with hand-made ceramics, rugs and the freshest local produce. The busy coastal resort of Nerja offers a complete contrast (just 9 kilometres away) and Casa Celia is also ideally situated for exploring the pretty pueblos of the Axarquia and even mystical Granada.
