This hotel sits flush on Torremolinos' beachfront promenade - in a matter of minutes you can be sinking your toes into soft, soft sand. The hotel's pool area takes full advantage of this seaside setting. The sun terrace - with its tiered trio of circular pools - looks out across the blue waters of the Med. If you want to get out and about though, there are some bars and shops close by while the resort centre is about a kilometre away, up a hill. As for the hotel itself, its modern exterior belies its more traditional interior. Step inside and you'll be greeted by a typical Andalucian scene. Taking its cue from the Alhambra Palace, the lobby features little touches like columned archways, majolica tiles and wrought-ironwork. There's even a courtyard fountain.

As for the rest of the hotel, the rooms are bright and perky and come with air-conditioning and satellite TVs. On the food front, the Cordoba Restaurant serves up a wide selection of hot and cold buffets, stages twice weekly theme nights and has a chef's show cooking station in the Italian corner.

One last thing. The hotel's part of the well-established Sol chain and as a guest at the Don Pablo, you can take advantage of most of the facilities at the nearby 'sister' Sol hotels, the Don Pedro and the Don Marco. And that's not all – as a guest here, you get one complimentary entry into the casino at Torrequebrada. All in all, a great little four star hotel.

Hotel was in a good location, close to the beach, to cafes and to the steps leading into the centre of town and the station. The food was very good and plentiful. The communal areas were lovely but our room was a bit dated and needed a really good... more on this review
