An introduction to Hotel Neptuno
The first thing to point out about Hotel Neptuno has to be its fantastic location. It's in the middle of Playa Del Ingles with everything that this lively resort has in store. More specifically, you're right next to the Yumbo shopping complex and 20 metres from the nearest shops, bars and restaurants. And in terms of the closest beach, you're just over a kilometre away. But fear not, there are courtesy buses laid on to both Playa Del Ingles and Maspalomas beaches – ensuring you'll be soaking up the sun in next to no time.
As for the Neptuno itself, well, as an adults only unit you'll be guaranteed some peace and quiet. In fact, if serious R&R is the order of the day, why not take advantage of the excellent swimming pool? Complete with sunbeds and a pool bar, it acts as some serious competition to the beach.
If you feel like picking up the pace somewhat or grabbing a bite to eat, you obviously have all the sights and sounds of resort in addition to a handful of activities and a buffet dining room on-site.
Come the evenings and once again that fabulous location comes to the fore – you'll be spoilt for choice for what to do. Mind you, with live music twice a week, a lounge bar and satellite TV, you might well decide to go with something a little more low-key in the Neptuno. The choice is yours.

I stayed at the Neptuno for two nights in December of 2006. It was the only central hotel I could find that had the necessary class as well as proximity to the nightlife the area has to offer: it was almost on top of all the nightlife of the Yumbo... more on this review
