An introduction to Can Pensit
Situated in the foothills of the Serra de Tramuntana, close to the sleepy village of Caimari and roughly halfway between the famous monastery of Lluc and the town of Inca, famed for its leather goods, Ca'n Pensit is a very welcome addition to our collection of rural houses in Majorca.
Its owner, Margarita, takes great pride in her villa and adds thoughtful little touches designed to make this a real home from home. Together with her husband, she visits the property every evening to water the garden, clean the pool and make sure everything is running smoothly. Never intrusive, her smiling eagerness to help more than compensates for her rusty English.
Ca'n Pensit is arranged on three levels, with the spacious double bedroom situated on the top floor, reached by a wooden stairway, whilst the wonderfully cool lounge area on the lower floor is a tribute to rural Majorcan life, housing a beautifully restored horse cart and other memorabilia.
From here, you step out onto the lovingly cared-for lawn, where the inviting pool takes pride of place. Tucked at the back of the house is the stone-built barbecue area, whilst the surrounding villages of Selva, Moscari and Binibona have a selection of restaurants offering country cooking at reasonable prices.
