Tucked away nicely but bordering C'an Pastilla and the great Playa De Palma and Arenal resorts, Cala Estancia may sit on the smaller resort side of the fence, but it's one of those charismatic places that has it all. Oozing Spanish charm, you'll find a real village-style feel to the place, which brings those in the know back here time and time again. We're talking tiny tapas bars. Traditional Spanish houses. And a busy-doing-nothing kind of mantra. Yet for all its authentic delights, it's also got a carefree cosmopolitan vibe. And no where more so than down at the picturesque marina, which is laced with buzzing bars and restaurants. It's a top spot for an al fresco meal or drink. Simply pull up a chair and watch the bobbing boats sail in to shore as you tuck into a fresh-from-the-net dish. Stroll through the narrow streets behind here and you'll find plenty of shops to pop in and out of where you can buy souvenirs. There are also oodles of restaurants where menus serving Brit-style grub sit alongside those cooking up Spanish specialities. When you want some serious R&R in though, the bucket and spade brigade are spoilt for choice. With eight kilometres of cushiony-soft sands sinking into crystal-clear waters, we reckon you'll be barefoot and bronzing in next to no time. And if you want some sand-free sunbathing, the fun-filled Aquacity is right on your doorstep. After dark, the ambience remains relaxed here, though you'll find plenty of bustling beach bars vying for your attention. If you do want to crank things up, nearby Playa De Palma and El Arenal are both partying hotspots. One last thing worth mentioning is that your transfer from the Palma Airport is almost blink-and-you'll-miss-it. In fact, you'll be the first stop from nearby Palma Airport, so there can be some air-traffic about -but it won't spoil your time here. However you spend your days and nights, you just can't go wrong in this stress-free holiday haven.
