Gran Melia Palacio De Isora

An introduction to Gran Melia Palacio De Isora

Palatial by name, palatial by nature, the Palacio de Isora has got deluxe written all over it. And with the Atlantic at its feet and Mount Teide supplying the backdrop, its location is as five star as the rest of it. And just steps away is a small village with shops, bars and restaurants. But although it has a central spot, the hotel is a peaceful oasis. A spacious complex, the Palacio de Isora sits in beautifully landscaped gardens. Dotted around them are four serene pools, bordered by smart terraces, sun loungers and day beds. The huge infinity pool steals the show though, accessorised with fountains and submerged sun beds that look out to the island of La Gomera. When you're not chilling out, there's plenty going on to keep you entertained. On the sports front there's a well equipped gym, tennis and a golf simulator planned for the Autumn of 2008. Younger guests aren't an afterthought, either. With two pools, a playground, games room and a hotel-run kids' club, there's plenty to keep them entertained while parents relax. Inside, the Palacio de Isora is just as impressive. Designed by world-renowned architect Alvaro Sans, it's seriously luxurious and stylish. Take the five cutting-edge restaurants. They look like they're straight out of a lifestyle magazine and Asian and Mediterranean cuisine are just some of the choices on the menu. Six classy bars also deliver the very best in chic comfort. The contemporary bedrooms pull out all the stops, too. Oversized with garden or ocean views, they're decorated with fine mahogany furniture and rich fabrics. Plus they come with a flat screen 32' TV and a balcony or terrace. Upgrades to rooms with private gardens are also an option. Factor in a lavish Yhi Spa with pretty much every treatment you can think of and first-class service and you've got a hotel fit for royalty. Put it this way. If the hotel world had a Monopoly board, the Palacio de Isora would definitely sit in the Park Lane or Mayfair slot.
